Everyone who uses a vehicle on the road must keep it in a roadworthy condition.
The MOT test checks that vehicles meet road safety and environmental standards. The first MOT test for a vehicle is required when it’s three years old and then every year after. There are different rules if it’s used as a taxi.
The MOT certificate
The MOT Certificate confirms that, at the time of the test, without dismantling it, the vehicle met the minimum acceptable environmental and road safety standards required by law. The MOT Certificate is also no guarantee of the general mechanical conditional your vehicle.
We believe it is good practise to combine your annual MOT with your Service, ensuring that any items not covered on the MOT can be checked with the Service.
We offer MOT test facilities between the hours of 8.30am and 5pm. Customers are welcome to drop their vehicle off at our premises from 7am and collect before 6pm so we can fit in with the busiest of schedules. Our testing centre is able to deal with vehicle classes I, II and IV offering a fast and efficient service to any motorcycle, car or light commercial vehicle up to 3,000kg, as well as Taxi inspections. With MOT tests taking just 45 minutes, customers are invited to wait and enjoy the garage’s hospitality.
